This is the large diameter headlight that was used on most Airhead twins from 1974 onward. Replacing a tarnished or very dirty reflector and lens is a sure way to restore the original capabilities of your headlight.
The headlight is also an easily damaged item in even a minor spill, so this new lamp assembly can quickly cure that problem.

INSTRUMENT CIRCUIT BOARD
KATDASH has developed a modern, solid state led bulb frame to replace your old bulb holder. KATDASH is plug & play. Simply unscrew and remove your old oem unit, put the new KATDASH in it's place and restore your Airhead instrument pod to full function with all dash indicators and gauge illumination lights. It maintains the stock look of your instrument pod, while getting rid of poor, broken or hidden connection problems.
KATDASH is an all new flex pcb with tiny led lights soldered to the flex. The unit is assembled on a new reproduction of the plastic bulb carrier body, 3D modeled to match the original bulb carrier. No more bulbs, no more corroded connections for the bulb sockets. No more trying to solder the broken copper connectors. No more testing the bulb- only to find out the bulb is fine, and the flex traces are broken somewhere unseen. And KATDASH has additional resistors in the GEN light circuit for the initial "excitement" current to get your alternator spun up, and keep your charging system charging. Works with the oem alternator, as well as modern upgraded alternator systems.
KATDASH /6: All /6 and 1977 /7 AIRHEADS with an AMBER TURN SIGNAL at the bottom of the center dash and the high beam indicator in the tachometer face.
This is the BMW's first version of the side by side dual gauge instrument pod, with white dial markings and orange hands.This is the only light board with 9 electrical connector pins and a mechanical tachometer. The turn signal and oil lights are on the bottom half of the dash, and the brake warning and neutral lights are on top half of the dash. This is reversed on the later versions of the gauge.
KATDASH /6 is fully solid state, with 2 leds per indicator lens. The Neutral and Turn leds have been specifically designed to be brighter than the original stock incandescent bulbs and are fully visible in bright sunlight. There are additional gauge lighting locations to help illuminate the gauges better than stock- especially the mechanical tach, which is poorly lit with the single oem bulb. The GEN light circuit is specifically designed to have enough current passing to energize the alternator and start up the charging system of your Airhead.

KATDASH 7880: ALL AIRHEADS WITH A GREEN TURN SIGNAL at the top of the center dash and the high beam indicator in the tachometer face.
The second version of the dual gauge instrument pod. The dial marking were changed to green, and the hand color was changed to white. The light board now has 10 pins with the change over to an electronic tachometer. BMW reverses the earlier location of the turn signal/oil lights (to the top of the dash) with the neutral/brake warning.

KATDASH 8195: All BMW R bike Airhead instrument pods with a GREEN TURN SIGNAL at the TOP of the dash and the high beam indicator at the BOTTOM of the dash.
The third and final version of the dual gauge Airhead instrument. The major change to the dash is getting rid of the high beam indicator in the tach face, and moving it to the bottom of the dash. The Oil warning light lens is changed to red. The internal electrical connector pins were also re-arranged, as well as a change in the turn signal circuit. This dash turn indicator is no longer run separately off of the flasher relay. It's now hooked directly into the signal wiring circuit of the bike. This version uses a different turn signal flasher relay from the earlier versions.

KATDASH GS complete telltale assembly with led pcb:
KATDASH GS telltale comes complete with a new led circuit board, and new telltale lens frame. The new telltale has been redesigned specifically for the new led circuit board with a closed rear frame to protect the electronic parts from dust and water better than the white oem frame. It has also been updated to fit the snap-on top cover better
The new GS pcb has the same all new solid state construction as the original KATDASH flex light units. So there are NO MORE BULBS or sockets to corrode or loosen up and stop working. Each indicator has 2 long lasting leds. The GEN circuit has the same proven GEN circuit designed with additional resistance- separate from the led lighting- to properly excite your alternator and get your charging system charging. This unit is plug and play- simply remove your old telltale assembly from your dash, and slide the new KATDASH GS telltale assembly into place. KATDASH GS is available with a oem GREEN turn signal indicator OR an optional AMBER turn signal indicator.

New KATDASH led circuit board for the 1980-1990 GS & G/S bikes is fully solid state, with 2 leds per indicator lens. As with the other KATDASH led instrument light upgrades, the GEN circuit is designed specifically to have enough current to energize your alternator and get the charging system charging. This new led pcb is designed to mount in the new 3d printed KATDASH telltale assembly, but can also be installed in the original oem telltale white plastic lens frame. (BMW part # 62 14 1 244 756) The KATDASH GS pcb is slightly narrower than the original light bulb frame, (it’s designed for the new 3d printed telltale) but will still slide under the clip on the right, and has 2 screw mounting holes that align with the mounting holes on the oem assembly. (3 new SS screws are included with each led pcb)

If the seals on your instrument pod are more than 10 years old they've become too compressed and oxidized to be effective anymore. Installing a new seal set will reduce 90% of instrument fogging issues.
