I am the original owner of a 1975 R90/6. Due to raising two children my bike has been garaged for the last two decades and only ridden sporadically. Needless to say, the neglect was showing. It would still start but had become almost unsafe to ride. Peter took it for a test ride and announced, "it has anemic performance and the handling is terrible."
I wanted to revive my 33 year old airhead to see if I was still interested in riding. If not, the plan was to get it running and sell it. Thanks to Peter I am not selling it. In fact I am looking forward to some long road trips this summer.
To date, he has rebuilt the front suspension with Progressive suspension which has dramatically improved the handling. He rebuilt my clogged carbs so that engines purrs at idle and performs at all speeds like a new engine. Peter also improved the performance by replacing the points with a Dyna III electronic ignition system, new rotor and diode board. Also installed were Hyperlites as well as rewired Bates luggage travel cases with rear lights for added visibility. The ATE front calipers were also rebuilt with new pads.
Peter took time to explain what he thinks should be done, the order he will approach the job, and the cost. He always stayed in touch during the service, stayed within his estimate and provided me with a professional invoice of all work and parts. The service included a five mile test ride together to make sure everything was working as expected. I think you will find the personal service from Bombar Beemers better than what you may have gotten in the past from your local BMW dealership. I know I have.

Greased gearbox splines
Replaced air filter
Greased swing arm
Replaced spark plugs
Anti seize applied to exhaust fin nuts per periodic BMW service requirement and a complete check.

I rode my 1997 RT 1100 to Wilmington this weekend, and it runs like it was brand new. The idle is much better, acceleration is phenomenal, and the addition of the Hyper-Lites was a great idea, people stay back now. Thanks for all your hard work, it was well worth the trip from Charlotte. I'll certainly be back.
